Not that I use an HR monitor, but maybe I'll give it a go:
http://www.blackburndesign.com/cyclometer.html

Got the 5.0. It would have been neat to check out the altimeter, but unless it's a GPS unit, those are always a bit sketchy, so no biggie.
It's really cool looking at least, and the mount is pretty neat, kind of a unique way of angling the computer.
If the weather holds like it's been the last couple of days, it'll be a great weekend to try it out...

I got the 5.0 as prize shwag during a race. Nice unit, I holp it holds up. I ruin computers with my toxic sweat.

The barimetric altimeters are more accurate than the GPS units.

I have a Habit of Killing computers, usually drowning them by riding in the rain. funny thing is my latest one on my road bike , a Cheap-o Vetta , and it has lasted for ever !!! its about to roll over 10K miles

I'm with you. I gave up on them because I always broke them somehow. Now I don't know how far I'm going or anything.

Whats the price on that Blackburn? I use a power-tap for training, but I have nothing on my race bikes

I don't know, man. Blackburns seem to have reliability issues here. Then again, all computers do. Especially Polars.

Yeah, but my buddy sent it to me, so I'll give it a go, nothing to lose.

If I'm going to buy one, it'll be a Garmin, but I'm waiting for them to get a bit smaller yet.

Yeah, Garmins are the only ones I like...kind of chunky, though, and a bit pricey. I'll stick to the cheap CatEye Micro Wireless.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!

not so much on Crit's but on Time Trials It is a must!
I could see it being useful in TTs, but I think in head to head racing it doesn't really have any use. You have to keep up with the guy in front of you, regardless of what your heart rate is
