Innovative Video Productions presents “Beer Run (A Drinking Group with a Running Problem)”

Part drinking, part social event and part fitness, hashing is a beer soaked rite that brings people together from all walks of life from college students in their 20’s to business professionals in their 70’s to run, jog, walk or even crawl on designated trails that lead to beer, beer, and more beer. Around the world, over 200,000 hashers escape the rat race to join in on the run, and with each passing year, the ranks of these beer guzzlers swells. “Beer Run” is a 30-minute documentary that takes you along for a mad dash from one watering hole to the next with a rowdy "drinking group with a running problem”.

Get to know perky co-ed Mindy. Mindy dreams of becoming a lawyer, but just can’t seem to pass the bar. Grab a drink with Running Randy Rhodes, a one-time world class long jumper who’s chasing after a new all-time high. Meet Bill, a 62-year-old lawyer who works for the federal government in Washington, DC by day – by night known as “Mellow Foreskin Cheese” to his fellow hashers. This globetrotting hashing evangelist has dedicated his life to this pursuit of beer, and has attracted hundreds of converts to the fold along the way. Bill has been hashing in over 18 countries and 27 states since 1992.

Producer Avery Gimble better known as “Royally Mount Me Puhlease” joins the notorious “Every Day is Wednesday” hashing crew for a sweat filled night of beer swilling and raunchy song. With a microphone in one hand and a mug in the other, Avery will give you an all access pass to the party, and introduce you to the colorful cast of characters with this motley band on the run. It’s time to put on your running shoes, grab a mug, and join in the fun – it’s time for a “Beer Run”.
