old 5.25% of the closing value
new 8.75% of the closing value

sucks who cares if listing is lower.
guess this will drive up starting prices.

items will sell for more and ebay makes more $$$.

wish there was a craigs list style free auction site
that would hit big. I mean really come on ............

my PC to works for me, its a great tool and am so happy
to live in this day and age.
pirating all music, pc programs and games saves me money.

i need a cheep auction house to sell my stuff
to make my growth too! lol.

i can't really complain i guess. ebay sure works good!
I have sold some great junk that the LBS was going to
    throw out!

The crappy alternative.... until we all start using it more and allowing it to give Ebay a run for it's money: http://www.ubid.com/

I've been lowering my opening bid and add a few bucks to the S&H. It doesn't matter to the buyer as the total is generally the same.

I believe this only applies to the first $25 and the rest is at the old rate. Not a great thing, but not as bad as it seems at first.

    edit: found it.

8.75% of the initial $25.00, plus 3.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000.00)
