i got a package in the mail that may get here today. i just ordered up a 16.5" black azonic evolution ii, along with a raceface crank/bottom bracket combo, a pig headset, and a rear deore derail. the prices were too sick to pass up over at cambriabike.com. i have been looking to build a 16 or 17" hardtail to freeride for a while now. the evo ii seems to fit my needs for the riding i want to do. i had been thinking about a DOC. however, i think i will be happy with my choice. long enough seat tube to sit and pedal up hill, but still tight enough geometry to use for some urban/trials. the whold package from cambria was the price of just a DOC frame.
i am going to slap an evil DRS and marzo DJII that i already had lying around. it should be a nice little play bike. i am also going to try to build it up with my own hands. i have always gone to the shop for things like BB/chainguide instal and headset instal. i don't have a press for the headset, so i may need help with that, but i want to do everything else myself.
i realize that this may not be the most exciting news to everyone due to the specific frame choice, and the fact that many of you can take bikes apart and put them back together in your sleep. however i think we can all relate to the excitement of having new parts in the mail
