so far, it feels NOTHING like a 5th element, and i mean that in a good way, it ramps up so smoothly, while still being progressive(if that's what you want it to do), just feels so much nicer...

going to get some good riding on it tomorrow morning...

check out the sticker :D

Good choice.

I just put mine on today, but it was a 9.5x3.0" for my F1. Its the second DHX 5.0 I've used - I love my DHX on the Moment. I am waiting for my Profiles since my ISIS BB setup had a defective BB out of the box and I wanted profiles anyways;)

Its a bit larger (maybe 1 cm diameter) and made of Al.

The 9.5x3.0" version weighs 440 grams with everything but the spring. The 350 lbs. steel spring for that size shock weighs 586 grams.

hmm

so its 1/2" and al, risse did that back in the day, testament to that is that i have a couple of month old snapped shafts here, i really hope (and believe) fox doesnt have that sort of problem.

btw the weigth is considerably lower than a comparably sized 5th (i weighed a smaller, 8,75" 5th from a v10 and that one was 540g), id venture to say right under 150g or a 1/3 pound.

Didn't Stratos also use an Alum shaft on their shocks?

yeah, huge ones since they had air-springs inside of the shaft...possibly there'd be a shaft-inside of the shaft though, because fox air shocks still have a shaft inside of the air-shock body...

it's time to share your thoughts
:p
I know, it didn't seem like the 1 day of DHing was enough though to really explore all the possibilities with the shock...

Hey JM!

It's time to come clean with us. No more of this, well, let me get some more time on this shock so I can write a well informed comment or two. Do you really even have a DHX Shock on your bike or are you just pathetically reaching out for some attention?

Give us the goods Mister!!!!!
