The previous frames were prototypes. The production frames are using Easton RAD tubing and the BB and chainstays were re-designed to accomodate an E-type front derailleur. Other than that, I don't think there are many other changes.
wow...Noel did a great job! That is a beautiful frame!! Love the 2 colors - that is one of the only blue's Iike - and that cherry red ain't bad either.

I posted a review of it over on mtbr this summer after I took the test ride. You could consider me either a biased source of information or a good testimonial because I bought one. I've been eagerly waiting for my frame to be completed (should be very soon now that the test frames are done and at Interbike). In the interim, I have ridden a Demo 9 (uphill and downhill) and VP-Free (uphill only) at Whistler. I still think that the Knolly is the best I have ridden so far.
