My currently laptop is on it's last leg. CD drive failed, two usb ports down, overheating all the time.

It's ok though, I bought it three years ago for $450.

So now i'm looking at this

$300

Asus

Intel Pentuim P6100 (two core)
3MB L3 cache and 2.0GHz processor speed.

3GB DDR3 memory

320GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm)

Does that look like a good deal? I'm looking to spend under 500 bones. Plus, I will probably buy another in a couple years.

I don't really use my computer for anything more than Music, Movies, browsing and homework.

Any others out there worth looking at?

Thanks,

RR

Hmm.. For those uses I'd be tempted to go with a netbook. Smaller, lighter, less heat, better battery life. Anything with NVIDIA ION will play 1080p video.

BTW, your link doesn't work.
