Already 15 months old, the current recession will soon match the average length -- and average job loss -- of the last three postwar downturns. What goes down will come up -- unless destructive policies interfere with the sources of potential recovery.

So this is just a normal, garden-variety recession that would have been over if McCain had been elected. Now, however, it's all Obama's fault, and it's the Obama Depression... Wonder how this'll play to the non-N8's of the country?

GWB and cronies just propped it up long enough to let the Dem's take the fall...
And probably caused it to be worse than needed... Some banks need to fail. We need to re-establish regional banking, seperate I banking and prop trading from true banks. Banking is boring, and should be boring. Investing is risky and should be left to risk takers.

Next they're going to blame Obama for the failed war in Iraq, the widening acceptence of gays, and quite possibly the Spanish Inquisition.

I thought it was Clintons fault?
Latest revision: Carter... heard it last week in TX.

This is why the Republicans picked McCain and Palin - they didn't want to win!!!

And I love these guys who have been in office for 20yrs saying it's the new guys fault...

actual MadLib from the RNC:

It is quite obvious that the current recession has its roots all the way back to the (a previous democratic administration), and is occurring in spite of all of the things that subsequent republican administration has done to stop it. As is perfectly obvious, the (a tax cut bill) has worked to increase government revenue, and the tax policies of (prior democratic administration) have only served to destroy us financially. One of the biggest threats to our entire economy is now being proposed by (prominent democrat) and the reckless policies of our new administration. Therefore, if we could only go back to the great and amazing policies of (Ronald Reagan) the problems would disappear, and all would be good and wonderful in this world.
