Just got it today. It will be getting muddy over the long weekend. All I can conclude from backyard testing is that it pedals great, plush as hell and it fits me like a glove.
The AC will be put up on the block to make room for the Yeti.
I went with the medium. I could have probably gone with a large, adjusted the stem and seat position, and gotten the same cockpit position. But I figured I'd go for the smaller more nimble bike.
Hey Westy, will you be racing on that thing? I mean, like 24 hour stuff? Is it better to do that kind of thing on an all Mtn. bike instead of an XC bike?

The 575 is built up with pretty much XC stuff, it probaby comes in under 27 lbs, but I am pretty light so I can get away with a lot lighter build than most. I intend it to be my swiss army knife do it all bike, but the Superlight will still be my main race bike. There are a few rough as hell local XC races that the Yeti will be my main choice for. The Yeti will be my backup for solo endurance races. A lightweight 4" xc bike is plenty for any 24 hour course I have seen.
Dude, you should probably just send that thing straight out here to CA ahead of your trip. No point in getting it all muddy. I'll watch it for you for free. I could even arrange to have it broken in for you so you won't have to deal with that crap.

This is the first bike I think I am afraid to get muddy, so pretty. But I would be more afraid to ship it. The Superlight is better suited for the rigors of UPS.
