Well, i guess this is the happy ending to my hartail getting stolen, I'll take this over the Haro any day. I've only had one "real" ride on it and so far, i love it, according to the scales, its quite a bit hevier than my old Escape 8.1, but on the trail, i havent noticed much of a difference, the swinger shock is great, The SPV has definetly helped in the transition from the hartail. If anyone wants a short review, or a pic of a specific component ill see what i can do. Sorry, if no-one really cares but it's my first real bike and I'm pretty phsyched.

Nice, very nice. Just a suggestion, you may want to chop the remaining seatpost off that sits below the seattube, for shock/linkage clearance. Just check it, if the shock and linkages clear the post, then leave it be. A snapped shock shaft is not a good thing.

ya, its a 6in DJ2, so far, i really like it, i had a sherman firefly on my old bike, and i find the ride pretty comparable

and about the seat post, we chopped some of it off in the shop, but wanted to leave a little on so i could pedal to the top of our trails, when the linkage compresses, the shock actually moves down, so as far as me and my lbs mechanic can tell, it shouldnt be a problem, thanks for the suggestion though, hopefully when i pay this bike off ill be able to get a Titec Knock scoper.

For heavier riders, I hear the fork is really nice. My friend, who weighs about 120 lbs., has a lot of trouble with his (he too has a BigHit Comp.) When he softens it up, the rebound is super slow. It feels bad with one spring out, and Zoke doesn't make a soft spring kit for it.

Change the oilweight from the stock 7w, to a lighter 5w, to get a quicker rebound. Also reduce the oilheight to get a softer feeling.
I did it on my DJ1, and it's like a diffrent fork.

Well that or if you are only 120lbs softer springs could be a solution. Most stock fork will never be sprung right for a 120lbs rider. Hucker13 this is what suspension tuning is all about - correct spring weight, correct oil and height etc all tuned for the riders weight, where he rides and how he rides. Don't blame the fork.

How do you like the fork?
so far, i like it a lot, i way about 185, so being too light hasnt been a problem, like i said ive only had one ride on it, but so far its awesom, i just wish it were QR20 though, but oh well....
