I have an older set of Deemax wheels with 36 spokes and the larger dia hubs. The rear wheel is pretty trashed from this season and I would like to get some new rims laced to the hubs. What would be comparable to the deemax rims?

    Thanks

the obvious choice would be a mavic 729 otherwise any other rim would do.

I thought older Deemaxes were laced to 321/729 rims that were just painted yellow. I know someone who got a replacement set of yellow rims (36H) directly thru Mavic.

i think it was Kanter that got the old school Deemax rims new from mavic. Infact, during my year long quest to buy the 05 823, i learned that Mavic had the non-ust yellow deemax rim available.

Old D321 rims or the new 729 mavic rims, they are exactly the same
