Watchin' you. Writing it all down.
So as I'm waiting for the Thursday group ride to come thru, lo and behold I notice that I've got cords showing thru on my rear tire. The Vittoria Diamonte Pro had been on my bike for a long time. I'd worn a really nice flat on the rear and the front was fairly worn as well.

Go to get some more today and the shop is out... FVCK! Having such good luck with two sets of Vittorias in a row, I decide to buy some Vittoria Open Pave EVO CG (black not green). The only thing is that they are a bit heavier but two guys I trust say they ride really really nice.

Anyhoo we shall see.

I run 130 to 140 and like it. They fly in turns. The only tires I like nearly as well are Vredsteins, but I unfortunately don't do a ton with Veltec, so I don't stock them much. I also ran 140 in Diamante Pros and with Vred Fortezza SEs.

I hope to change that soon.

****...i run 130 in my Sprinter Gatorskins. I can't imagine going higher than that. Especially on a clincher.

Punctured the back on a sharp rock on the same road that killed a tubular tire two weeks ago. Booted it and rode on. 1 mile later I blew it out again. This time at 35 mph. That sucks on a clincher for sure. I fixed it this time and rode another 38 miles. It's toast, but I still got a good ride with lots of climbing in. I'm going to carry an Edge 305 next week and get a profile. I think we will all be surprised.

I still really like these tires, but will see how the other V named tires work out. I may end up being a convert from Vittorias.

Does anyone else see this as a pathetic (though decent) attempt at scoring some free tires from James?
