I don't know about yours, but my Skookum is holding up just fine on its own.

There's a guy from the PacNW who works here; he's like 235 on the hoof and is a beginning mtber...always refers to his burly-looking parts as 'pretty skookum.' (right before putting big curved bar-ends on his riser bars). It makes me laugh. I didn't know Skookum was an adjective before I met him.
