should i buy a whole new wheelset for my giant iguana if i want to put disc brakes on it or should i just buy disc compatible hubs and some avids and get them to put the hubs on my exsisting wheelset.

If you have good rims in good condition, you might as well keep them and relace them with new hubs. If they're old and/or ****ty and/or beaten up...just buy a new wheelset.

You should also compare the prices. You might be able to find a comparable wheelset for the same price as relacing to the old rims...and that way you can sell your old wheelset.

if you look at jenson or another mailorder/online store, you might be able to find a wheelset for the price of going through the trouble of a wheel rebuild, i got mine @ jenson for $100 and ive put them through all kinds of crap and they're still fine.


P.S. don't buy formula activa disc brakes
