We can even do it bear suits.

where are you?Got the DH rig finished, was hoping for some Black Friday shake down laps.
Then this happened. Biggest November dump we've had here in a long time.
It was mid 60's and bone dry 2 days ago.

Damn...that's a thing to wake up too...pretty though .Yep, Durango.
Last year was a mean one, but didn't start until January.
Looking like a white yard from November to April this year.
I like what ratio is doing, might convert my gravelbike to 1x12 at some pointgot some old force levers, cranks, 11s derailleur, 9-42 ekar cassette for my ratio srampagnollo 13s gravel bike build
Exactly same reason I went with the 1:1 hubs instead of the Hydra.. Have you broken an axle on them?Mostly because I'm tired of replacing bearings in the fucking Hydras on my current WAO Unions. Those will go up for sale after holidays and become someone else's problem.
IMO, I9 is dentist jewelry.Yeah, for as high end as I9 is, they sure seem to make some shitty hubs.
No, but my buddy who also has a Hydra broke his within a half year.Exactly same reason I went with the 1:1 hubs instead of the Hydra.. Have you broken an axle on them?
dammit. the solution isPinner has a solution for the I9 axle woes.
Forever Axle for Industry Nine Hydra rear hub.
Now made exclusively in titanium! Replaces the standard aluminum axle found in your Industry Nine Hydra rear hub. Now featuring a hybrid design, made from titanium and aluminum, which reduces the overall weight of the part while maintaining stiffness and strength. That's pretty funny that another company has to come up with a fix.Pinner has a solution for the I9 axle woes.

It's been The Bike Industry™ standard practice for a number of years now. Cascade Links fixing the leverage curves of several suspension systems, Vorsprung/Push fixing subpar shimstacks/air chambers, etc. A lot of people here has been buying brand new stuff and their community accepted bandaids at the same time. That's pretty funny that another company has to come up with a fix.
Folks on Vital argued with me, claiming that you cannot feel 100 g difference in tire weight. If this is true, all these upgrades people install are just to show that they are dentist when the bike is parked in front of the pub/biergarten/gelatto/burrito joint. It's been The Bike Industry™ standard practice for a number of years now. 85% of weight reduction efforts on mountain bikes probably affect less than half a percent of rider/gear/bike mass.Folks on Vital argued with me, claiming that you cannot feel 100 g difference in tire weight. But if it is rotating mass it has a larger influence on ride dynamics and suspension performance.85% of weight reduction efforts on mountain bikes probably affect less than half a percent of rider/gear/bike mass.
To their credit, my buddy who broke the axle contacted i9 and they sent him a new axle that was redesigned (visually different than the old one). He still bought one of those Ti Pinner ones though because that's just how he rolls. That's pretty funny that another company has to come up with a fix.
There's a pretty significant difference in feel just going from a 2.3 DHR2 to a 2.4 DHR2. Thats like 100g and 2.5mm though so clearly much more of a change than just 100g.Folks on Vital argued with me, claiming that you cannot feel 100 g difference in tire weight.

True, but when pumping and jumping this has less of an influence. There's a pretty significant difference in feel just going from a 2.3 DHR2 to a 2.4 DHR2. Thats like 100g and 2.5mm though so clearly much more of a change than just 100g.
It actually is pretty hard to compare a 100g difference without changing something else, like casing or whatever that would possibly affect things just as much or muddy the result.
but that's their business model. every time someone throws on a set of Schwable Slippery Steves, then hits the trail and washes out and smashes their head into the ground, they forget what tire they were on and go out and buy another set of Schwable Slippery Steves.
Yeah I'd agree with them, I didn't notice any extra effort accelerating my bike after adding the full fat CushCore.Folks on Vital argued with me, claiming that you cannot feel 100 g difference in tire weight. If you have plenty of WATTs in your legs than this might be less obvious, but with my spindly legs and output I feel the weight de-/increase.Yeah I'd agree with them, I didn't notice any extra effort accelerating my bike after adding the full fat CushCore.
But then again, I'd guess my current XC bike is 15kg.
