Everything about it is better than XD, IMO. But I’m a fanboy.
the new freehub body is impossible to gouge.
i'll take the weight penalty and keep the eagle nx cassette on my normal freehub i've ised forever and enjoy the perfectly wonderful shifting on xx1 derailleur and shifter

2020 Supreme DH V4.2

Scored a cheap new DHX RC2 on ebay, should ride sweet with a boost valve removal. Plan is to build it up with Zee cranks, Works components headset and recycle parts off my cove. 26 inch wheels for a while because of that minimum wage lyfe

In the future I might get a 29er 40 and run 29/27.5 mullet. Might grab 29er dropouts to run it with nearly every possible wheel size combo lol.

Nice!

Are the 2020's a 9.5x3" shock? My last DH bike purchase I considered them but wasn't keen on the 10.5".

They're a 10.5" shock, and they have the revised rocker link too with a 10mm bolt rather than 8mm. Didn't have issues finding that size shock, just variety wasnt as wide on the used market. YT tues uses that size too so plenty of dhx2s and vivids about.

The v4.3 onwards uses a 250x75. Theyre actually selling the 4.2,4.3 and new swingarm version all under MY 2020, 4.2 frames being 300 euro cheaper.

Ahzoomzip! (same as the old frame, just swapped to a size large and moved over all my parts) lg with a 50mm stem feels way better than the medium with a 60mm. Swapped in a 160mm airshaft (from the 150mm) for the Pike while at things. Still 27.5 wheels, frame and fork are both 29. Give me room for fats, or to move to larger later. Want to borrow some 29er wheels from a buddy and see how I feel about them first.

Ordered SKF bearings for all the Turner Pivots and lower Pivot pivots. Knocked out all the Turner bearings today.

Couldn't find a thread to post this in, but there's some pretty informative tidbits in there... https://www.bikemag.com/gear/components/drivetrain/a-mismatch-made-in-heaven-xtr-axs/
A SRAM shifter/derailler + Shimano cassette has been on all my bikes since the 10 speed days, nothing new.
I disagree with homie in regards to Shimano having superior shifting, to me it's much too vague and "un clicky" at the shifter.

Also, the newer generation KMC chains work better or as good as Shimano 11 speed for less $.

I don't know about 12 speed or that electric crap...if it ain't broke don't fix it. :o

Ive heard from a few very reliable sources that it is an absolute weapon on proper courses i.e. mini dh bike. In a class of its own
I will second that, but it also puts my Transition Scout to shame when climbing!

As much hate as Speshy gets (rightly deserved), this is the best bike they have done in a a long time. You can tell that the engineering department beat out the ID folks on this one (finally). Unlike the 2020 Stumpy...

Yes, also had a chance to ride one. It's a really good bike. Only shit I still don't get is the stupid bearing seat design.
