Very late to the party with this, but I do have a dozen or so rides on it now, and it puts a smile on my face. First new bike in 10yrs, hoping to get a ton of miles on it this year. Also looking forward to getting back to the mountains a bit for the first time in years too.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
Yes, Microspline, 148 boost, 32 spokes, Jbend, centerlock. Just noticed they have four more, I bet your local lbs could get you one for ~$350 if you call tomorrow morning.
part # QBPWE2723

Totally don’t understand why so cheap.

New tires today. Last set lasted 8 years and imGoing to see how the semi slicks hold up on the local trails. Seem just fine and as good or better than my worn DHF. Trails were mint.

Nice! I loved my butcher SS. So many trails are hardpack or rocks and don't need serious center knobs. The butcher shredded its sidewalls, otherwise I'd still be using it.

8 years? :o

Mine hardly last 8 months but I am a talentless hack. :busted:
Trail bike usage, and I rode them until they were pretty much flat. Luckily the tears and the like weren't bad enough to take them off. My sense of what a worn tire is has changed over the years. Still hooked up just fine.

birthed from a latte?
Wheels Manufacturing adapter kit, the regular non-boost Hope endcaps, JB Weld.
All I did is make for slightly easier wheel install and ensure that I don't lose one of the stupid little 5 mm spacer bits. Cheaper and easier than a new hub!

After the Thomson stem breakage, I’ve re-evaluated the age of parts on my bike and swapping out parts that are a bit overdue.

First up are the critical control parts. Going to look at wheels next. Might build up a new wheel set.

My buddy Seb used to tell me to switch handlebars after a season or two. He did this religiously. I took his advice and bought two spares seven years ago, and then never put them on. Well, it’s time. Prepped and de-racer’d them this am. Will mount them up this week.

After my second hand round-gusset Mongoose was stolen around 1985, my dad bought me a light gray Diamond Back Greg Hill complete, and I got some rad blue and white Answer gloves too!

No ProTapers on that bike, but I did get a nice set of Santa Ana era chrome GT bars for it!

Is that who they Answer to now?

+1 - but Smashpot instead of ACS3
I have the ABS, so I didn't think that would mesh well with the Smash, plus I can run the ACS at close to zero pressure. Install was easy.

I was thinking of getting the Secus up until I started watching the install video. First, the complicated air filling, then the install was fairly complicated. Not crazy bad, but then they said don't rest the fork ever again on the bottom of the legs where the Secus protrudes...which is basically how we ship a bike in an Evoc case. So that plus that de-filling/filling operation, that's just way too much for me to worry about. Coilz r better.
