I recently bought a specialized fsr xc and I have some trails near my house that have a few small drops (2-3 feet) and some fallen trees around 12" diameter to that need to be jumped over. Does this sound too rough for a full suspention xc bike or will I be ok riding on this trail? Thanks for any info.

Oh boy, that bike could handle more. Please, if you buy a FSR, you have to ride the hell out of it.
sweet, so far I have been, I just got a little paranoid from reading that some people say that 3 foot jumps are too much for a xc "they are for cross country not hardtrails" there are other trails around my area that should use it to its full potential.

Learn to land softly and you'll be fine. You'll probably be fine regardless, but if you get good and can land softly all the better.

It's more about you than it is about the bike.
