I've kept up a little but thought maybe some of you have been doing a better job on the front runners. I know Kerry is thinking about running again...I voted for him once (only because I like him just a hair more than Bush) but I sure as hell won't vote for him again. I think maybe he’s going for the Nixon thing, run till you win.

I really don't know...John McCain?

Maybe Mitt Romney.

It's sad that Ican't think of a decent Democrat, seeing as how I'm a frigging marxist.

Well in his favour at least when the **** does hit the fan he is a competent leader, if a bit authoritarian the rest of the time though?
Won't happen. Rudy doesn't hate gays and doesn't support executing abortionists.

I guess I dunno who I am going to vote for. I know Mrs. Clinton may run, but she lost my vote when she made a huge deal about the game GTA 4. Get a life and take on a real issue like homeless, welfare whores (people that purposely leach the system before you judge) and imigration. Seems like our politicians avoid the hot topics becuase they may lose votes by going one way or another.

I wish we could see a super strong leader emerge from the cloud...someone everyone would agree was strong and stand behind. Honestly...Bush (I personally don't like him) but he did just that after 9/11 but in subsequent mistakes we are left wondering if he knows whats going on.

Do candidates publish explicit manifestos in the US? I've never seen one, but I never actually looked. In the UK and here in NZ each party will put out lists of their policy points. Do you get that?

Luelling, Hilary is not running on a "GTA 4 reform" platform. Any politician, especially when you only have 2 or 3 choices, is going to have parts of policy you don't like. The thing is to choose the one whose big hairy audacious ideas are the closest to yours.

I like McCain and Hilary over Condi but I like Condi more than Bush. I'd rather she didn't get in though. It's be cool to see the US elect a woman, black or white.

McCain is certainly courting the religious right at the moment. He seems to be serious about running again.

Unfortunately, in today's political climate, a Republican must give at least a little to the religious right in order to get anywhere. That doesn't mean that I have to like it, or that I can't call it out.

It means that no matter who you want to be president (realistically speaking) he's going to have to do things you may or may not like to get votes. Did I SAY you couldnt point it out?

Condi is smart enough to be a real President, but she would have to wash her hands of the whole Neocon thing, and I just don't think that's that likely.

I agree. 2 parties is too few. I want, like 5
5 viables, more importantly. You guys have the greens and Nader etc, but none of them will seriously get a vote.

Nader is just trying to sell books anyway. I get tired of his schtick. Id like to see him succed though, just out of principle. What we need is a sane Ross Perot type. Someone with coin serious about making an impact, to step forward and change things up.

Serious coin and a desire to change the status quo? That's a short frickin' list...

Maybe someone big at Google?
