I'm not too worried about that happening. There's a pretty strong secularist streak running through Pakistan. Despite appearances Pakistan is nowhere near as strictly Islamic as a lot of places. For example women don't need to wear veils and I believe a brewery still operates in Pakistan (though of course Muslims can't partake in its produce). I'm sure there's other examples. Besides the Pakistani military and especially India won't let things get too out of hand.:twitch:

I mean in the sense that India will "deal with" a dangerously unsable hard-line Muslim government in Pakistan before it becomes a problem for the West.

Isn't the Pakistani government a secular military? Hence the General in charge. I doubt the extremists will be able to overthrow the current military.

by "dealing with it", i must assume for this to be properly played out would result in 20-25 million dead concentrated in a dozen or so cities.

co-worker recently told me if i ever plan on going to india to eat at mcdonald's. they pay good wages & it's hospital clean. i hope he means a u.s. hospital.

Put it this way Stink, India would neutralise the threat whatever way they could before said Islamic loony government ever came to power.

Well the threat of an Indian invasion is about the only thing that can make Pakistani's unite. But I don't think India would ever do it as it's seriously more trouble than they/anyone could handle.
