I did not design the system a very clever friend of mine did, but worked closely with him to get the right looks and finish..

i personally think the hammerschmidt looks kind of cheesy. plasticy almost. i need its hella burly but this LOOKS better IMO

Three questions:

Is it going to be available in 83mm?
Can you fit bash guard of any type?
Will it fit bikes with pulleys like Canfield Jedi?

Yeah the quality looks good but the most Important thing is... How much will it cost??? The HS is too expensive and this one looks like it will cost even more.

Interesting. Looks like the chain runs unenclosed (you can see the c/r teeth), unlike the HS. Is there any chain retention built into this design?

I agree.

One thing that interests me is the BB30 design, you could build a better set-up for systems like this if that would start to become more common.

The HS isnt that expensive. I paid $550 for my 2 ring setup; cranks, DRS, shifter, BB, etc and $610 for my HammerSchmidt.

I hope the B-Boxx is 3 speed.

Its in testing stages so what you see my be altered slightly as testing is carried out.. They wont half test stuff here!

The Design is still in prototype phase. It needs a lot more testing

There will be a chain retention system built in for the production one.

I assume this is the thing. The exposed gearing makes me nervous. It is super muddy where I ride (BC) and I can se this thing gunking up really quickly in those conditions. I can almost hear the grinding sounds now. No idea how you would stop that though. I suppose some kind of replacable barrier would help a bit, (a crank condom)?

I'm sure that's just a show prop with a cutaway so you can see how it works.
Nobody in their right mind would leave gears exposed like that.
