Looking to purchase a light for night riding. I have came own to a bit of criteria for purchasing. I need:

atleast 2 hours minium burn time at 10 watts

Anysuggestions on the Niterider trailrat? Is it bright enough, reliable, charge time? Or any better lights? Looking to spend less than 250 bucks. Any suggestions

You might not get 2 hours out of a Trailrat. Crashby has one, maybe he'll pipe in here. For $250 you should be able to get a nice setup.

I would suggest you don't just limit yourself to NiteRider. I like their lights, and there was a time that they had the best offerings out there, but these days there are many great companies making kick ass lights.

I just bought the Niterider Evolution. It have 10w, 2.5 burn time, and has a helmet and bar mount. If you get the TrailRat you need to buy a helmet mount, they don't come with them.

I have the trail rat. Good light, and it will last 2 hours. 10 watts is ok, but I always find myself wishing for more.

Niterider's customer service has been making a pretty bad name for itself over the last couple of years. I've also heard their quality is slipping. I have no first-hand experience with the company, but many people have tried to steer me away from them.

I'm going with a light from Lume. I've also heard good things about Light & Motion.
