Does anyone out there have any experience with Nitric Oxide (NO) supplements? I was thinking of using Xyence NOX CG3 or Cytosport Fast Twitch :spam:

Any recommendations or warnings I should be aware of?

What does NO do?

As for warnings, do you have a primary care physician? Your doctor should be able to give you more accurate advice than some randoms on the intarweb.

Whenever you're excited, anxious, pumped, or otherwise uncalm, your body turns on a switch that produces NO in your blood. Your blood vessels dialate and allow more blood flow throughout your body. Think about it, when you're hyped or excited, you're stronger than you are when you're calm and normal right? That's cuz the NO switch is turned on.

These supplements keep the NO switch turned on throughout your workout. I've tried a sample of something called NO-Xplode and my usual 2 hr gym workout turned into a 5hr pump fest. My arms and chest were so swolen that my shirt didn't fit right the next moring.

From what I know, it's important to take this stuff in moderation as keeping the NO switch turned on for extended periods of time (all day 12-24hrs) will lead to overexertion and extreme fatigue. I only plan on using it once or twice a week during my heavy workout days.

Although I do not think this type of supplement is tailored for endurance as endurance requires electrolytes and complex carbs. This stuff has none.

Isn't that the stuff Burt Reynolds used in Smokey and the Bandit to get away from the cops? Be careful, a good fart and you'll end up in the garden.;)

hahaha, nah brah, that's nitrOUS oxide (NO2) aka laughing gas, nitrIC oxide (NO) is what's sent through your veins and arteries causing them to dialate and allow more blood flow... hmmm viagra does the same thing

I'll take a double dose of the NO-Xplode tomorrow night (hehe date night) and I'll report in saturday... that is, unless I end up pitching a tent for 4+ hrs and get sent to jail for indecent exposure :poster_oops:
