Currently going to grad school with a kid who just got out of the airforce. Dude is all mixed up in the head. He thinks no one should pay taxes, thinks academia is a nest of immoral self serving elite intellectuals who are taking advantage of the system. He is getting a full ride from the gubment. And his sacrifice to the people of the United States? He was a health and safety officer specializing in office safety.

This guy seems pretty impressionable, spent many years in the military after growing up in a nutty christian household (his words not mine) in Arizona. He is bound to have a few wacky ideas.
