Just thought i would spread the word, it's offiicial there will be no marathon races at the NMBS this year.

Probably too much of a pain to run for the small amount of turnout they got.
Probably, although the numbers seem to be up last year. The official statement was that it wasn't a good fit.
It's a bummer though. The march and may dates for them were nice to prep up for some longer stuff later in the summer.
Plus the fact there were on the sched, and they officially haven't taken them off...it's till on the USAC site and most other places as having them.

They(TMBRA) are having a Texas Marathon series. It looks like the first race drew over 60 riders.
There were 78 to be exact AND it rained all night before the race and a little into the race AND it was cold to start and only got colder as the day went on. I think it would have finally broke a 100 had the weather been nice.
Comfort is this weekend and though it's hard to pass up i'm going to bail on it becuase of the recent nasty weather. I paid my dues at the EE.
