so i have a 7point frame with no tabs so i figure i have to get one of the bb mounting tabs along with the lg-1 from e13. the question is, can i use a regular bb or do i need to get one that is e type or not? to my understanding e type means it is designed to be used with a bb mounted chain guide

E type refers to a type of front deraileur that mounts like a chain guild between the BB flange and frame. You do need to make sure your BB has a flange (a little lip that hits the frame keeping it from going in too far). Most do.
