Yup, you have to stick around and help drink it too though.I may be in for a day of riding this year. A donation of a case of beer and I'm in, right?

It definitely won't be that weekend....my sister's wedding (that I am in) is the 25th. I heard the same of Kendafest too I will follow-up with the lodge again so we can nail down some dates.Well, do not plan this around Kendafest, it is cancelled as of right now for 2009. I got an email from Kenda and all that was said was that they are aiming for 2010 for the next festival.
I am interested in joining up with this years fest but will most likely not be able to go if it is July 24-26, that is the date for the New England BBQ championships at the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT that our BBQ competes in every year. I know a few others that will most likely go as well.
Any news on dates? It definitely won't be that weekend....my sister's wedding (that I am in) is the 25th. I heard the same of Kendafest too I will follow-up with the lodge again so we can nail down some dates.
He's checking with his cousins on July 17-19, July 31-August 2 & August 7-9. I should know more tomorrow.Any news on dates?
Definitely. We ALWAYS have a great time!I'm still contemplating coming up! It's kind of a haul for me from NJ, is it worth it?
Yes.What does MF entail exactly? Rides? Cook-offs? Silly contests? Or just bikes & booze and hanging out?
Keeping my fingers crossed for 7/31-8/2. I'll be biking in Maine the other two weekends. He's checking with his cousins on July 17-19, July 31-August 2 & August 7-9. I should know more tomorrow.
Bummer...so either way I won't see you at MF this year. MBC and I are out if it's that middle weekend.Keeping my fingers crossed for 7/31-8/2. I'll be biking in Maine the other two weekends.
i'm hoping for hookers and homebrew. JBP may have to be our pimp for the hookers since he's a VT boy. What does MF entail exactly? Rides? Cook-offs? Silly contests? Or just bikes & booze and hanging out?
You two could always join me in Maine either of the other weekends.Bummer...so either way I won't see you at MF this year. MBC and I are out if it's that middle weekend.
Like I said before, no matter what weekend it is, someone's going to miss it. I'd hate for that to be us, but if it is, so be it.I could look later in August if that's better for everyone. Early July I have a race & a wedding so there are 2 weekends that are bad for us. I'd hate to have Monkeyfest without the usual offenders Perhaps a July 4th long weekend and we make it a 3 day festival?
Just pick a date.
But plenty of butts.
There's always someone who will miss it. They'll just have to come to the fall event, no "ifs" "ands" or "buts".
Maybe for you...I'm keeping my eyes on the cute Quebecois women that seem to flock to the trails. But plenty of butts.
Man butts.

A good trainee would be using Imperial Porters with Imperial IPA chasers.I might start training for SMF09 after work today to make sure I'm fit enough to keep up with the veterans, I don't want a repeat of last fall.
Question is, what do I train with? IPAs or Porters?
Six months isn't enough time to build up to our tolerance, son.I might start training for SMF09 after work today to make sure I'm fit enough to keep up with the veterans, I don't want a repeat of last fall.

No, but watching him try is going to be amusing.Six months isn't enough time to build up to our tolerance, son.
Beer - check, bikes - check, bourbon - check....sounds like a typical MF night rideMy first ride at the Kingdom Trails was at MF, at night, ~25deg, 1/2 powered lights, in the leaves and completely hammered from many a beer and bourbon.
Ahhh that was fun...
...followed by Mama Monkey's bacon in the morning.Beer - check, bikes - check, bourbon - check....sounds like a typical MF night ride
Ah yes, the cure for most any hangover....bacon!...followed by Mama Monkey's bacon in the morning.
So what's the latest, Mama Monkey?
