I've been up to a fall mini-fest and last summer's gathering. I'm going up again this year. If you dig the XC stuff, you should go. I'm not sure if there will be shuttle runs on Burke Mtn or not. Last time I was up I saw a lot of "no biking" signs on the slopes

Springfield is just outside the DC beltway. I've done the trip in 8 hours, other times it's taken as long as 11 hours. It depends on day and time of departure.

Shut up and ride...
I was thinking we should have the mid-atlantic monkey fest soemtime in August. Just a thought. I'm guessing snowshoe would be the best location as far as it being relatively centralized and offers XC/DH/FR, something for everyone.

Thoughts?
