Anyone heading up to Northstar for closing weekend from the San Diego or Orange county area? Thinking about leaving friday morning or early afternoon and returning late Sunday.

I should be heading up some time on Friday. Several groups from the hood will be up for the weekend. I think Martin is bringing some of the "mexican elegantes"....(South Americans) No race plans for me, I'll just be riding the good side of the hill. No lodging plans yet. You making an appearance?

Parkfield is "run what'cha brung". You don't need a DH bike to race DH, even if you DH so hard that you break your DH specific DH bike. same goes for DS.
I'll be at parkfield too. Racing livewire will be nuts. It's so easy to overshoot many of those jumps...
Yeh I'll be up there. Leaving LA around 1pm, drivin with Brad O. and Kevin A. as of now... so I guess I'm full. We are planning on racing on sunday.

edit: did anyone peep the weather? hope they run the lifts during the rain/snow. Best day I have ever ridden was at Mammoth last year when they got a BUNCH of snow.

BTW, Colombia is in S America, just above Brazil. Looks like there could be some great trials there...prob is..you could get killed if you accidentally ended up in someones Cocaine fields. I 'd like to meet these Colombian guys.

Alfredo's actually from El Salvador. Juan is buddies with Marcelo, Mauricio and... uh. Chucky (he told me his real name, but chucky was easier to remember). Mauricio, Marcelo and Chucky unfortunately flew back home this morning. They were killing it this weekend.

That's why I overshot only two on a course that is really easy to overshoot 10. If you carry your speed right on livewire, it's actually possible to overshoot stuff without pedaling at allisn't overshooting jumps a byproduct of overpedaling?

Very true. My scrubs still need some polishing though, so I just stick to being out of shape for the time being.
