Robert Novak runs over old homeless man who's legally in a crosswalk, drives away, is chased down and stopped by bicyclist/lawyer who witnessed it. Novak claims he didn't see the guy, while witnesses say the man went up on the hood and windshield.

People trying to panic-talk their way out of guilt, especially after an auto accident, are hysterically funny as their minds try at 100,000 RPM to bend reality to their will. Ask Manimal.

But since he's only been cited for "failure to yield" and not leaving the scene of an accident or anything connected with actually hitting someone, you gotta wonder if he's going to face any real consequences. Doubtful.

I had no idea being a hack partisan shill gave you such immunity in this world.

in his defense, 18&K is a tricky intersection: if you want to go n-bound conn ave you have to get on the e-bound access road. essentially, this is a 3-for-1 intersection. i got in my first & worst bike accident a couple blocks west (shoes still clipped in the pedals). but i vaguely recall the [body orifice] did stop.

then again, i'm white.

and corvettes are notorious for their blind spots on their windshields.
