i got two of those crappy slave flashes and they're actually working pretty good. One question though, if im shooting a race wouldnt they like blind the rider? I dont want to feel responsible for hurting someones run

If they arent begginers youll be fine, the riders are soo focused on the trail, winning, and themselves there not going to care, I get scared when someone falls right after I take a photo w/ the flash because I think there going to blame it on me, I havent got one complain yet.

only time i notice is when wes takes em in practice. and thats cuz he yells at me. other than that im so focused i bbarely tell when it flashes

If the sun is out and the lighting is good and the flash is not right infront of the eyes of the rider, then you are ok.

If its a cool wipe out, they'll thank you for the pic. Also some racers might want the pic so they can see what they did wrong.
