Morning Monkeys.

Had my first thumb OT yesterday. They say it is 12 weeks from surgery to recovery. FML, but at least I get to use it after about 8.

It's lil Man's birthday this weekend, I bought him his first real skateboard since he has shown interest. This is the part of being Grandpa that makes it worth while. Teaching him to skate will be awesome.

I think I finally have the DVO Diamond on my new Banshee dialed in and feeling perfect.

Now if only the crappy feeling Rockshox Monarch would cooperate, but I feel that thing is destined for the spare parts bin. Been thinking of looking into getting a DVO Topaz. Anyone used one before?

Was made Trailforks ambassador/admin thing for Ontario area...that's cool.

Need to down some coffee and prep for rain. Looks like the humidity is going to spike and stay above 70% tomorrow. That should be AWESOME for riding. :brows:

Today I will try to teach Yuna to brake gently for speed control on hills. And I will finally unload the super gross Rockstar wheels that can be blamed on my still-a-dentist formerly-my-two-doors-down-neighbor.

I have a topaz :D it is pretty nice, though a little interesting to tune (make sure your shock pump does not leak at higher pressures like mine does :( )

Yeah I guess having a working shockpump for an air shock is key. :busted:

Any complaints about it? You have it on your GG?

I think I unintentionally sold our premium product (investment management) to a Board member of a new client. Was doing a new plan presentation and somebody started asking me more and more specific questions about what we can do, so I kept getting more and more detailed in my answers. The Board member was in the back watching the show and as we got into the weeds started nodding along with what I was saying.

I had been told to avoid it, as they didn't want us promoting it, so I kept pushing the person back to our next rung down but they kept asking for more detail. At the end of the presentation, they came over to talk with me about the presentation, so I apologized about going down that rabbit hole. They were super excited about it and said that nobody had ever explained it to them in that much detail as to just what the tools were capable of doing. Was told that I can definitely address the product going forward and that people need to make sure that it is something that is available, even though it is a premium product.

Our rep who is client level (vs. individual level like me) was gobsmacked that I accidentally sold, in 30 minutes, a product that he hasn't been able to sell in 5 years. Just got an email from our Director up to the Managing Director about it. FTW.

Oh yeah, Tuesday. Busy all week.

Sounds like we should celebrate by doing a slow, fat, old-guy ride! :D
I'm down since my Shuttle is finally ready for me to pick it up! Speaking of which: are you free to ride tomorrow mid day? I'll pick it up around 11 AM and need to be back in the eastern plains ~2 PM.

He should be gobsmacked that he still has a job in sales.
