Not exactly the 'French' now, is it? Monsier DeVille from La Rochelle would probably be fairly disgusted by that too.

Anyway can't they just use seals like everyone else?

Seriously, humans have some issues with Anthropomorphism. We don't mind abusing the hell out of chickens, sheep, and so on, but dogs... No way, dude.

We need to be nicer to all animals. The people who did that to that dog should ge tthe same treatment, with a bit of a kicking thrown in for good measure.

I just like making fun of France....though it is often not all that challenging to do so.
I bet you've never even been there! I bet you're just like the rest of the conservative bandwagon in the US that jumps all over france w/ out having experienced the people or the culture there first-hand.

You want some Freedom Fries with your Freedom Toast? maybe you can Freedom kiss your girlfriend?

Well, I for one have been there several times, and I think that gives me the perspective and experience to say that France really does suck balls.

So there!

Dude, that is the funniest thing I have heard all day.

I have only been to Paris. My experience there was awful. I am told by people who have travelled other parts of the country, and by Frenchmen/women from elsewhere that Paris is not a fair representation of France. According to them Parisians don't just hate foreginers, they hate the rest of France as well. A sentiment which I am told is mutual.

To be honest DT, from what I know of you on here you probably wouldn't get on with most Europeans.

Just like any country France has great places and people, and less great places and people. My least favourite place in France is Calais, because it is a ****hole full of townie assholes, but I really like most of the rest of it, especailly the Alps where I hope to live one day.

You Yanks hate France because it is way too socialist for you (despite that the US wouldn't exist if it wasn't for France giving you a reach around) in general, but believe me, there are places and people who are to the right of you as well.

Only places in Europe I have been are Cologne, Surrey and Florence.

Never had a problem in any of them, and found the people in all to be wonderful.
Hmm, where d'you go in Surrey?

What a crazy selection! I'm guessing Surrey and Cologne at least were business trips? Those are all pretty nice places in the grand scheme of things. Did you drink any beer in Cologne?
