I am setting up a spare wheelset with some light tires for climb-y days. Identical hubs to the primary set.

Currently running an NX Eagle cassette, obvs w HG freehub. Would an XD driver freehub and GX (or higher) cassette maintain the same cog spacing , or would I be messing around with my derailleur every time I swapped? (And/or would the difference between the small cog sizes cause any issues with derailleur adjustment?)

Pretty new to 12 speed and haven't used XD driver yet, so don't assume I know a damned thing.

I swap between a 11-50 NX and a 10-51Shimano cassette without problems or need for adjustment. I just set it up for the 10-51 assuming the 11-50 behaves like a subset.

Edit: this is on the hardtail so it might be less finicky with a fixed chain length.
