In the bathroom, fighting a battle
Mother of fuckers, wife spent 5 hours at Urgent care last night because the kiddo has been limping pretty badly, they took an xray and found what appeared to be a fracture in his Tib. Nobody could decide what they thought they were really looking at so they're back at the doctor today seeing the pediatric orthopedic specialist, now they gotta talk to somebody else to see if they're going to recommend a cast. If they do cast his leg I don't know that I can even take him to daycare anymore since he won't really be mobile, luckily my parents are worthless and my wife's parents are falling apart so they're not much help either, goddamnit intensifies.

He's had this limp on again off again for 8 months, been going to PT, but making virtually no progress, and yesterday was the first day they agreed to xray it. Starting to think he fractured it 8-9 months ago and has just been re-injuring it this whole time.

here's a pic from here. winter seems fun. :D

I normally talk shit about other people's stupid snowy winters as well, but this year was some bullshit, got rain, snow, hail, high winds, all kinds of unacceptable weather. The dogs are pissed they haven't been able to lounge properly

Not sure TBH. Looking back he also used to be much better at climbing and fearless about leaping off stuff, big slides, etc, and right around the time his limp started he also started getting really scared of any kind of drop off, at 12 months he'd hop off our bed just fine, at 3 years he's scared to. My theory is that he ate shit off the jungle gym at daycare, but somehow nobody saw it.

1500 mile buffer.

Minimum.
72 miles seems to be enough to keep my parents away. My biggest gripe is that my mom is in perfect health, decent shape, totally capable to watching the kiddo, however she's convinced that grandparents never watch grandchildren and it's super weird to even ask them to do so. Growing up one or the other grandma's was watching us 2-3 days a week, seems like she forgot about that.

Sounds like she's really good at implementing boundaries.

I have no idea where I am
Feeling pretty fatigued, to the point of being irritable. It’s freaking Spring here, warm sunny and no rain expected. But I’m going to make a serious attempt at not riding, hiking or walking today to give my legs some rest. Oh, also woke up with a sore neck. Yay getting old(er).

Damn, dude.
I think I prefer having ‘manageable’ snow in town, with apparently incredible conditions *almost* the entire winter.
Except for when Full Trucker and Nick roll through.
I don't know why you keep feeling the need to 'defend' the snow in Jackson. It's kinda cute though ;)

We're getting the pacific moisture with rockies temps so it's just light and voluminous. I've only seen it snow this hard a handful of times. I'm even shadowed a bit, I can't even imagine what's going on just west of the crest. This will all settle a ton once the californy sun comes out. Then more snow this weekend
