Slept well in the camper last night. Guess I was wiped out after a 12 hour ambulance shift then a 2 hour drive to the show facility. Our rv spot is right next to the show arena so my walk to work this morning is about 100 feet:banana:

I really dont understand why anyone would use USPS for anything anymore.

I had to order a chain grinder that will take diamond bits in order to sharpen my carbide chains. All my chains are smoked as I have been bucking down massive stumps and am at a standstill since I don't have the means to sharpen them.

Ordered the product with two-day shipping on Monday. the package sat for two days at its origin, then sat for two days in Eugene and still may not make it today. Should have ordered some more chains as well.

In other news,

coffee is brewing

Hey bruv. Got my 8 mile run done and was a bit faster than it needed to be. Trying to convince Wife that we can fit in some MTB early tomorrow before it rains.

I'm about to head out for my Saturday dog adoption volunteer shift. Lovely October day for it! 8-)

Finished soybean harvest last night. Earlier that ever, due to it being wildly dry. Lost 6-7% of yield just in water weight alone. Beans should be 13-14% moisture. They were 7-8%. Thankfully the price for them is lower than it was 40 years ago too. That’s fun. Makes me happy that we farm with 30-40 year old equipment. Not sure how folks will make equipment payments this year.

I might try to ride this weekend. That would be nice.

Singlespeed USA is happening in my town today. I have no idea what it is, other than it’s kooky as all get out.

I suspect there’s gonna be some drinking and illicit drug use occurring today.

I sure hope you have a good time. If you don't, I don't think it's their fault.
Unfortunately, I am not participating. It does look like a pretty fucking fun time, but I have adulting things that need taken care of this weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to get out for a short ride later, and then poach the after party!

Nice.

I wonder if they would even consider working on gnarly thru hiker feet.
Mine are not at that level, but still lotsa callous and gnarl. They didn't bat an eyelash. Mrs. Scrub has mentioned other feet she's seen there (going to the same place for years) and said not even to worry.

tl;dr : tip 'em heavily and don't worry

FWIW- it felt fantastic! I may have to do it monthly, nieces or not!

Decided to go for a little ride, 31.5 miles, 6800ft verts. Not bad for never being more than 2.3 miles from home and all on trails.

I think that's about the same color I got before our BVI trip. Still have some on most of my toes. Shit's durable.

Nice.

The took a cheese grater to my feet and probably grated off 1/4 cup of dead skin. So yeah - they don't give a shit how gnarly your dogs are. They're professionals. :homer:
