Rode with @Adventurous during the lunch break and it was good. Trails are in a much better shape than you'd think after all the ugly rain we got in the past 48 hours. He mentioned that nothing in Colorado is comparable in the fun factor to the amazing slippery off camber roots and east cast roxx we have here. :nerd: :D

Now burnt pizza leftovers (because I am an idiot).

Not even Lenawee? @Fool seemed to like it. Along with That Other Trail.
/Leaps up from an old, broken-springed, stained couch in a flurry of empty Cheet-O bags and whippit canisters...

Yes, please and thank you, I'll take those leisurely, long climbs through gobsmackingly beautiful scenery and the forever descents through same over the constant state of hypoxia of east coast punchy climbs and sub-minute slight downhill sections with a stupid logover placed every 11 feet.

Think we'll be out your way again this Fall, and I'm bringin' more of us this time.

Fuckin' aye right. I'm already looking forward to shenanigans!

There was never a factory Econoline 4x4 afaik. All via Quigley aftermarket and the like (albeit with Super Duty sourced parts).

There was a factory AWD GMC 1500 series van as @johnbryanpeters has/had (sold it yet?), kind of weaksauce.
I went from a Dodge-branded Mitsubishi mini-van to a Chevy Astro AWD cargo van, which eventually died of corrosion, to the Express AWD to the new Sprinter. The Express was a reliable, comfortable year round ride and almost leapt off the ground if I floored it.

First ride in 1.5 years and you bet I felt/feel it. Luckily @StiHacka was kind enough not to say anything and just dragged my sorry ass around.

Poor bikey now needs a little love, and my fat ass just ate 5 pieces of pizza as a reward.

did the wheel hold up?

I will, humbly, GTFO of that one. :homer:
ROFL yea I'm kidding. I did that on my inaugural ride, just about killed me.

Exceeds Expectations.

You're gonna get a nice raise *and* a bonus!
That how that works? I'm a perennial meets expectations kinda guy, so I have no idea what sweet perks await the high achievers.

Some day, if I try hard enough and work extra, uncompensated hours just to show how hard of a worker I am, I just may be granted access to employment Valhalla.

I dunno - I never have any real idea what the expectations are in corporate America, so I just go with what comes along...

I wouldn't recommend that. In fact, a better tack is to just *convince* the powers that be that you're working your ass off.

In other news, operation "order new guitar and have it delivered without the wife noticing" has been a success. Time to play the bad girl in the next opportunity.

That's kinda the mini rookie-mistake version of TWE from town.

Or, God help us, the Dirty Copper Triangle. :disgust1:
I didn't mind it going anti-clockwise climbing to Vail pass from Copper to start with as I like the decent from Searle. No way would I want to have to do it clockwise and climb Resolution Rd.

Eff knows who they were, but when we did that ride a few years ago they were doing maintenance on the Camp Hale dirt road between Resolution and the CT trailhead and wouldn't let us past. We had to tag on about 6+miles by riding on the highway toward Tennessee Pass and then coming back on the CT towards Camp Hale trailhead. Just because they wouldn't let us walk ~100yards of the dirt road...
Lenawee Trail at A-Basin - but as a loop from Keystone. There is an unacceptable amount of paved and dirt road in that particular route.
Yeah, even I'm not stupid enough to think that's a good idea. And I've ridden some pretty dumb loops in my time to avoid shuttling.

TWE shuttle years ago we passed a couple of riders going up the road towards Burro. We farted around on the ride so much that they overtook us somewhere on Porc...
