"What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."

-Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals
Tax hikes, redistribution of wealth, expanding socialism...

Ok, 10th time. Go back to school. There is no socialism in the US and nor will there be. Learn the definition of socialism.
Marxist sorry..

...according to Alinsky Teh Agitator's job, is first to bring folks to the "realization" that they are indeed miserable, that their misery is the fault of uncaring governments, rich citizens and/or greedy corporations.

then The Agitator helps them to come together to demand what they deserve, and to thow such a huge hissy fit that the evil gov'ments and corrupt corporations will see the only way to stop the haressement is to grant their wishes..

Do you know who Alinsky is? What's left of the Alinsky ideals is a method of mobilization. It's old, and ignorant, but you'll be sad to know both sides use it. Alinsky no longer dennotes liberal views, but rather prejudiced mobilization.

So which branch of Marxism are you talking about? Please, do enlighten us. There is at least 8 different schools of Marxist thought I can think of off the top of my head, all very different.

That said, Any form of Marxism would require a class consciousness to exist. The US cannot even agree on things like "torture = bad", so there is absolutely no way a class consciousness will ever exist in US society.

This is of course not what the talking heads are alluding to anyways, as they have no clue what they are talking about. They are referring to Marxian economics, which is an entirely different school of thought from Marxism. But hey, what do they know right?

When the first talking head mentions the labour theory of value, I'll believe they know what they are talking about. Until then: BRING ON MORE SCARY BUZZWORDS OH DESPERATE CAMPAIGN MANAGER!

There are fewer and fewer straws left for uninformed, panicked right wingers to grasp at by the minute.

You know that's Alinskyism? Picking a target, branding it as evil...without asking what is trying to get people fired up about it. The only thing you lack for an Alinsky model of mobilization is support.
