i *told* you he was a mooselimb!

The next Obamacare target: Your bacon sandwich
Are you prepared to go from the supermarket to the black market for your bacon?

The Food and Drug Administration is preparing to lower the boom on sodium content in American food. And companies are scrambling to lower the salt levels in their products in advance of the new rules.

The target is not really your BLT, but instead the huge piles of sodium that are used to make otherwise inedible processed food pass for something good to eat.
does this mean jonKranked is about to be RM's 2nd active conservative?

come on home, brother. it's a big tent.

the war for salt continues, this time, with hopefully less bloodshed:

History of salt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:SaltCrystaUSGOV.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9f/SaltCrystaUSGOV.jpg/250px-SaltCrystaUSGOV.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/9/9f/SaltCrystaUSGOV.jpg/250px-SaltCrystaUSGOV.jpg

Salt has shaped human history in ways many people don't realize. Part of the problem nowadays is that its so prevalent, and people can't control themselves.

and no, i'm not opposed to this, if applied properly. its absolutely insane how much sodium is in certain foods. Canned and processed foods are the biggest culprits. I tend to avoid these. When I do buy say, canned tomatoes, I get the low sodium version. To be honest htough, lately I have been buying fresh tomatoes and passing on canned.

also, i doubt that certain products - like bacon - would be banned. You literally just can't make bacon without the use of salt. It's called brining. Without it, bacon would just be normal pork.

i bet monsanto foodies could do it. those cats are so evil as to fool mother nature.

and bourdain quit smoking, but won't quit salted pork. so that should give you an idea how srs this could get. we'd have protesting pork partiers turning parks into feed lots. it won't be like 420 on CU campus. more like a flash mob of disaffected wigger skate punks after the red wings win the cup

dont' fcuk w/ our swine, soetoro!

Switching from crop subsidies to farmer subsidies could help end cheap and unhealthy corn and soy dependent products and get rid of green scams like ethanol from corn. Too bad significant change like that isn't likely.

I can't wait to be the Al Capone of salt. Speakeasies all filled with bacon and prosciutto and margeritas. Hell yeah.
