man this sucks........I have worked at this job since Feb. 2003 and i always eat lunch at my desk in front of my computer.....I feel like such a loser.......none of my co-workers ever want to o down stairs to the big ass cafeteria in our building.

Every once in a while I go down there and eat by myself which I don't mind but most of the time I eat in front of the ridemonkey or vwvortex.com.........

sorry I wasted your time.....I will send out a check to whoever feels they should be compensated for wasting their time reading this worthless thread...

I do the same, read the paper and then surf the net, Ridemonkey or Dropmachine.

Sometimes, when its nice out and I don't bring lunch I'll grab and sub and go sit in a local park and chill, maybe even nap.

Of course I don't work in a nice office, mine is in the middle of rubber factory and there's no cafeteria.

Cheers,
G

We've got a pretty nice lounge type area here...2 leather couches, a round bar table, a bar height table with stools, a little lunch table and a foosball table, 2 fridges, 2 microwaves..Its pretty sweet..then theres the food court downstairs in the +15 with a subway, A&W, DQ, and a bunch of oriental food type places. I normally eat up there with the guys then play foosball for the rest of the time. Its a fairly good set up...I try to bring a lunch everyday, but once a week or so I succumb to laziness and go buy some food.

I usually go home, but I'm friendly with enough people in the building so that I can usually find a group of people to sit with in the cafeteria (or outside if its nice).

I work on a college campus where parking is a nightmare. During the school year, I rarely take a lunch break. During the summer, I usually go home for lunch... take the dogs for a walk or whatever if it's nice out.

Why is it that American's think we make domes? Once on a trip to Toledo, Ohio, yes the place of the scales. The US Custom's Agent was asking us why, where, how long...? We stated seeing a piece of equipement, work for a rubber company...

You mean Trojan's? No, silly, rubber, black stinky sh!t.

Actually recycled rubber from tires, into auto parts, ah the sweet irony.

I try to bring my lunch as often as possible. When I don't, I ALWAYS go to Wahoo's Fish Tacos for lunch. It's tough to beat $3.50 for a filling lunch that's tasty as f***. If I bring my lunch like today, I'll surf the internet until I'm feeling ready to head back to work.

I try to mix up my lunchtime activities during the week.

Every other day I race to the climbing gym and try to get some bouldering in for an hour.

On other days I go to the mall across the street for food, or if I bring my food, I eat it right before lunch and then have an hour to myself for errands or whatever.

Although sometimes I'll just watch tv in my boss's office, or the conference room

Desk, and bring my own lunch. The cafeteria costs too much, plus all the hens I work with eat down there. From what I hear, their conversations during lunch would want to make me lose mine and/or cause me to think about fuzzy white bunnies. :blah: :dead:
