ANOTHER IN A SERIES OF LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS WILL AFFECT THE REGION SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY AFTERNOON. LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL MOVE NORTHEAST AND APPROACH THE AREA BEGINNING LATE SUNDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE RIGHT AROUND FREEZING WHEN THE PRECIPITATION BEGINS SUNDAY NIGHT. AS A RESULT, THE PRECIPITATION COULD BEGIN AS A MIXTURE OF SNOW AND SLEET BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL RAIN. A WARM FRONT WILL CROSS THE AREA SUNDAY NIGHT ALLOWING THE CHANGEOVER TO OCCUR.
ONCE THE RAIN BEGINS, THERE COULD BE 1 TO 1.5 INCHES BEFORE THE EVENT ENDS DURING THE DAY MONDAY. WITH RIVERS AND STREAMS RUNNING HIGH AS A RESULT OF RECENT RAINS, THERE IS A RENEWED POTENTIAL FOR SOME FLOODING. FORTUNATELY, THIS IS A QUICK MOVING STORM AND THE RAIN SHOULD END DURING MONDAY AFTERNOON.
