Man those were the good ol' days. March, 17th 2002. If I remember correctly, back then that day was the day after March, 16th 2002.

Found it via Freak as he dragged me off of MTBR, The Monkey was pretty slow back then...small group of members...then us MTBR dorks started to show up. Then there was the "mass exportation"  to Hcor.net. :)

And through it all I still rarely proof read what I type and seem to miss-type: teh, jsut, a$$ as much as ever. Nefver mind the BIG words. :sneaky:

J/K your an all right :monkey:. You should come to Virginia for a ride so I can give you a whoopin' on the bike.

Man... if I could afford to take a year off and travel the world, I'd do it...

But my bills gotta be paid somehow... :(

Quit spending money on swanky martini rooms and big screen TVs. Living simply can open great opportunities.

Buddy of mine has had the same job as I do and gets paid the same, has multiple cars hot tubs etc. I can't say he has any better life than I do, but I'll be retiring 20 years before he does. :thumb:

I found this place looking for people to ride with. Did a search for MTB boards and MTB in So Cal.

I'm retiring to Taos or Alb NM in 8 years. My wife and I will kayak the Rio Grande Gourge, ride out MTB's in the mountains and high desert, and take up snow boarding...

"Take up" snowboarding. Sounds like a broken hip waiting to happen.

I heard about this place from Tweek. Before that it never occurred to me that there would be an internet forum about mountain bikes.

I was actually browsing this site for some time before that... Not sure exactly how long.

Hey, anyone remember approximately when those mass bannings happened?

I heard about it from someone who I was buying my old specialized frame from, and I dont know if he is a member here or not. Anyway, I'm glad to be here! :D

I was unemployed at the time and found the place while killing time on MTBR. The great controversy then ensued about ridemonkey spamming the MTBR forums.
