Shut up and ride...
Can anyone give me details or specs of a 1990's GT Zaskar? Specifically, the bottom bracket size? Friend of mine has one but finding the size is a bitch. ***EDIT***He bought the frame ONLY***END EDIT***

Thanks.

Measure the BB shell with a pair of calipers. It should be 68 or 73mm.
Spindle length is probably 110mm for that era, maybe 113mm

For early 90's square taper spindle length could run up to 122mm. Spindle length is only relevant to the cranks being put on though(for the most part; sometimes you have chainstay clearance issues).

***Measure the BB width and get the correct spindle length for the cranks being put on.***

I had a 97 Avalanche LE (cheaper Zaskar)...it used a 73 X 110 Sq taper BB.
I had one of those too. A bit of a pig I used to call it the Flabalanch. Still running, though. I handed it down to my father in law who rides it around the beach which is probably for the best.

Pretty sure you're right on the BB size, as far as I can remember anyway.

Flabalanch.
It took me 23 seconds to figure out how to pronounce that. It doesn't help that I figured it was supposed to be Welsh or something...
