I know there is a mount for it, and then im sure it wouldnt be too far fetched if nicolai made a special drop out, but is it possible to run a floating rear disc on an Mpire-did Nicolai make one? and i know they changed distributers, how can i get in contact with the new one?

Don't know about the distributor but you can write to the source or call them:

CALL: +49 (0) 5185-95 7191
FAX: +49 (0) 5185-95 7192
eMail: info@nicolai.net

EDIT:
btw there is a floater available
the text is from the website:

FLOAT: New for 2005 is our floating disc brake option specifically designed for Downhill racing. It was developed in cooperation with the KRC-Nicolai team. When using a conventionnal disc brake mount, the braking torque is transferred to the swing arm and pushes it down thus making the rear end of the bicycle harder. (the suspension becomes less reponsive to the terrain) When braking into a corner at high speed, this may lead to a loss of traction and so-called „brake jacking“. Using a floating disc brake caliper eliminates this problem. The braking torque is instead transferred to the main frame via a torque rod. The rear suspension can therefore continue to work properly, free from any braking influences. Braking sections on the race track can then be handled with higher speed and better precision.

its marketing blabla... oh well :)
