So...I guy in my neighborhood has a GORGEOUS 20 year old custom made italian bike...here are the specs from what I know:

Bike: Detto Pietro Golden Wheel
Frame: race built,Metallic blue with some silver, some scratches, no dents
Componets: ALLLLLL campie record, everything has engraved campie stamp from the cranks, the hoods, the screws...everything
Drive train: 6 speed, again all campie record components, tube shifter

This bike is seriously a piece of art work more than a bike. The owner bought it while in Italy in 1986. He wanted to turn it into a hybrid and tear it apart, we managed to talk him out of it.
If anyone is interested in this classic piece of beauty please PLEASE let me know so I can save this relic from being destroyed.

oh, so not really a question, more of a sale?

Let the guy convert it if he'll ride it more. Is he trying to go more cx, more commuter, more touring?

he wants to ride it on our packes limestone, gravel ect.. trail in our town. Its the alleghany highlands trail, goes from pittsburg to cumberland maryland. So it kind of is a question and kind of is for sale...if you have any info it would be awesome!
