I got a new chain, and the derrailer dose not look right. Do I need to shorten the chain? Did i screw my derrailer when i snapped the chain? Maybe I Kicked it?

Your chain is too long. Check park tools website. They have a good explanation about how to choose the right chain length.

I'm pretty sure you know the web site already but here it is anyway... www.parktool.com

Yeah dude they are almost always too long when you get them new. Do you still have the old one? Easiest method is to compare the new one to the old one so you know how many links to remove.

this is what u do, take the chain and connect one end to the other, wrapping it around the big chainring up front and the rear big cog, exclude the rear derail while doing this. It should look like a single speed setup while doing this.....after u made the connection leave in a full link to the connection point. This is the right way in getting the right chain length for the setup....hope it helped

Exactly, big to big, add one full links worth.

Nice job, otherwise.:D
