So, I'm sure as many of you know, there is a missing girl in the Richmond VA area who is a 17 year old freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University, the school I attend. If you havent heard about it, Here's More

So, thats creepy in and of itself, but there's more.

Lets go back a few years, shall we?
This guy in my theatre department, Ben Fawley AKA Skulz, kinda creeped everyone out. He's just a weird guy, but thats fine. He's 38, which is a bit old to be in undergrad with us I thought, but hey, whatever. I found out the guy has a criminal background, stealing cars, chop shops, etc, that was kinda odd, but hey, I guess he cleaned up or somthing. I was nice to the guy, hell, I even drove him to the hospital when he cracked his head on a pipe while working in the theatre.

Fast foreward a year. I knew that one of my friends had gotten in some trouble for breaking into a guys house and kicking the sh!t out of him, but I didnt know whos house, or why. I come to find out, it was Ben's house, and it was because he raped a girl I know a few years ago (thats when the break in/fight/stabbing happened) That was enough for me.

Well, now fast foreward another year, and here we are. Now this guy that I know is linked very closely to Taylor Behl. Hes not necissarily a suspect, but its been said they had a realationship, remember, he's 38, shes 17.

Seriously creepy stuff!

Damn, that is creepy. You know you should mention this to someone other than a bunch of guys on the net.

Like who? The FBI already knows, thats how I made a tie from her to him. They have searched his apartment, all the dumpsters aroudn his apartment and the area, etc

it's so weird when the news intersects with our lives because then it feels so real. I remember how creepy it felt when my cousin from Littleton told me she had hung out with one of the Columbine killers at a party.

This is a parents' worst nightmare. We all hope and pray for her safe return. While I don't have kids of my own, I can't even imagine what her parents are going through right now.

Just got this Email from the president of our school:

To the University and Health System Communities:

I want to update you on our University-wide efforts to find one of our
VCU students, Taylor Behl. I am very heartened by the outpouring of
concern and support that our faculty, staff and students have shown for
Taylor, her family and friends. These past two weeks have demonstrated
that our Virginia Commonwealth University and Health System communities
care deeply about the safety and well being of one another.

Although the Richmond Police Department is currently in charge of the
investigation, we continue with aggressive efforts to find Taylor.
The investigation has been thorough with many resources brought
to bear so that Taylor can be located and reunited with her family.
Between the time Taylor was reported missing to VCU Police in the early
morning hours of September 7, and the time her mother arrived on campus
a few hours later, VCU Police already had established leads that the
task force is now pursuing and that are being reported in the media.
Our detectives are working tirelessly on the case with law enforcement
officials from the Richmond Police Department, Virginia State Police,
the state Attorney General's Office and the FBI.

We continue to encourage the VCU community to contact the Richmond
Police Department tipline, 804-514-8477, or VCU Police at 804-828-1196,
with any information related to Taylor's whereabouts. In order to
aid in our efforts to find Taylor, VCU pledges a $20,000 reward to
anyone for information that leads to the location and return of Taylor.

VCU remains committed to providing support for Taylor's family and
friends. VCU officials have been in constant contact with the Behl
family and friends, have arranged for the parents' lodging while
they are here in Richmond, and have offered counseling services
to the family and Taylor's friends. Our neighbors in the City of
Richmond also have been supportive, as was evidenced by this past
Monday night's candlelight vigil in Monroe Park.

Finally, let me reassure you we remain dedicated to providing a
safe and secure environment for our students, faculty and staff.
As always, VCU Police regularly patrol our campuses and surrounding
areas. Our residence halls have 24-hour, seven-day a week security
staff to monitor electronic card and visual access by our residents
and their guests. Emergency call boxes are located at all of our
major facilities. We encourage our students, faculty, and staff to
use the free VCU Escort Service by calling 828-WALK.

Please keep Taylor, her family and friends in your thoughts as we
hope for her safe return.

Sincerely,

Eugene P. Trani
President, VCU
and
President and Chair, VCU Health System

And white... Unfortunately that is the only combination the media seems to care about.

I hope they find her. :(

Unfortunately, she must be in deep denial. At this point, I would hope that she did just decide to leave on her own. Hopefully, that's the case. To be honest, I haven't heard anything about this case here on the West Coast, so I don't know too many details.

Va. Officials ID Body of Missing Student
KRISTEN GELINEAU, Associated Press Writer

RICHMOND, Va. - Investigators said Thursday they identified the body of a Virginia Commonwealth University freshman who had been missing for a month.

How Taylor Marie Behl, 17, died had not yet been determined.

"I have the utmost confidence that we're going to be able to resolve this case," Richmond Police Chief Rodney Monroe said.

A task force investigating Behl's disappearance found the body buried off a dirt path in rural Mathews County on Wednesday. Dental records were used for identification.

Earlier Thursday, before the identity was confirmed, Behl's mother addressed reporters.

"I'm sure you can imagine the shock and horror I feel knowing that the body found is most likely my baby's," Taylor Behl's mother, Janet Pelasara, said outside of her home in Vienna, Va.

Behl left her dorm Sept. 5 with her mobile phone, a small amount of cash, a student ID and her car keys. She told her roommate she would be back in a few hours.

The teen's car was found two weeks later, and its license plates had been replaced with Ohio plates reported stolen several weeks earlier.

The police chief said the area where Behl's body was found was searched after police examined photographs on the Web site of an amateur photographer who was one of the last people to see Behl alive.

Ben Fawley, 38, has not been charged in the Behl case, but he is being held without bond on child pornography charges.

Fawley had a romantic relationship with the teen, his attorney, Chris Collins, has said. A telephone message left for Collins was not immediately returned Thursday.

Pelasara's attorney, George Peterson, said he believes the strongest suspect is already in custody.

Fawley was questioned by police in Behl's disappearance and classified as a person of interest at one point during the investigation. He was arraigned last week on 16 counts of possession of child pornography.

Detectives later seized more than 70 items from Fawley's home, including a box of bones, a machete and part of a box spring bearing a reddish-brown stain, according to a search warrant.

Behl's family planned to make funeral arrangements later Thursday, Peterson said.
