Idiots cut gas line at brother of Representative's house (after brother's house was listed as HIS by a local Tea Party organization).

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2010/0324/Was-Rep.-Tom-Perriello-targeted-for-his-vote-on-healthcare-bill

WTF??!? These fvcking mouth-breathers can't wait till they win an overwhelming victory in November (their view, not mine), and so they're sending death threats, throwing bricks through windows in NY and smashing windows in AZ...

And what a shock, a right-wing blogger has been calling for this vandalism.

I'm just in a bit of shock, do they really think that this is going to win them votes??

edit: Sh!t, that was the PROPANE line into his house.....

I guess they are trying to prophesy their self fulfuillig prophecy that electing Obama would lead to anarchy and chaos.

Idiots.

I think this country has lost the decorum and civility and just plain old good manners that used to exsist.

These are the same people that decry people into a class of non-deserving of help due their view that they riot and act like animals. (Haiti, Katrina, health care, etc.)

Healthy debate and civility in our disagreements is lost. Just look at our "leaders" we send to Washington. The 24 hour news cycle has ruined us with idiots like Beck, Hannity, Rush.

I don't like a lot of things Olberman and Maddow say or agree with everything they think, but I do watch them, listen to them and can say hmmm, I see your point, but I respectfully disagree. I don't see a need to stome them or issue death threats. Opposing views, like a some of the ones on here, make me think, do some research, rethink my position and make a decision on where I stand.

Maybe RM membership should run for office! :D

Maybe it's just my bias showing, but Olberman/Maddow for the most part post facts/videos/statements, and go from there. Maddow actually has a lot of Conservatives on her show, and some of the best are ones like John Dean, people with whom she might disagree but can hold a worthwhile conversation. Beck/elRushbo/etc just seem to engage in a conservative circle-jerk and don't actually offer anything fact-based. I used to listen to them all the time, and got so sick and tired of them blatantly LYING to me, that it turned me off to them, and the GOP in general. (the GOP taking a wild right-turn back in 2001 finished the job of driving me out of the party)

So it seems this happened in a neighboring county. The local teabaggers are trying to say it was obviously a hate filled Democrat that did it trying to tarnish the gleaming reputation of the Tea Party.

I for one, hope that the tea party splits off, forms its own political party, and puts up candidates in elections. It would fracture the GOP. Divide and conquer my friends.

From a CNN poll:

The poll indicates that in a two-way race on the so-called “generic ballot” question, GOP candidates have a 47 percent to 45 percent edge. Throw a Tea Party candidate into the mix, and that two-point advantage becomes a 12-point deficit. That’s because virtually everyone who would vote for a Tea Party candidate in a three-way contest would choose a Republican in a two-way race. The Democratic candidate gets 45 percent in both scenarios, but the GOP candidate’s share of the vote drops from 47 percent in a two-way contest to just 33 percent with a Tea Party candidate on the ballot.

That's It...

I'm starting my own political party. If these nutjob teabaggers can actually have a legitimate political party that can hold public office then we need another alternative.

How about the Lord Gorlock party? The Hate Party?

Having a party doesn't necessarily mean one of you is gonna get elected...

Posted this on digg:

Ok, I don't know about anyone else, but THIS HAS GOT TO STOP. We're a Democracy for Christ's sake. After the 2000 election, there weren't riots, there weren't tanks rolling through the streets, there wasn't a military coup, people abided by the election and waited 2 years to vote again. Fast forward 10 years, and when the MINORITY party doesn't get their way, they respond with threats, physical violence, and attempted murder. WTF? *This* is the cherished America you claim to want to save? We've settled our differences for the past 200+ years by voting, and you're going to claim you have to "save" this country by going out and killing and intimidating other people? How long till we get another Timothy McVeigh? How long till people start dying due to the fact that YOU WON"T ABIDE BY ELECTION RESULTS??!? If you're so certain you're going to win in November, wait till then, elect people who follow your line of thinking and repeal this bill. That's what CIVILIZED people do in a DEMOCRACY.

This is disgusting. I used to be a Republican and I'm ashamed to even admit that after the BS that's been going on here. I'm not sure what they hoped to accomplish, but it's gotten me more fired up, more ANGRY at the GOP, and more likely to vote, to work on voter drives and grass-roots campaigns, more likely to donate money to Democratic candidates, to work phone banks, to go door to door to STOP THIS MADNESS. For everyone that's sick and tired of the crap that these teabaggers are trying to pull, for the lies and fake outrage that FauxNews puts out every day, STAND UP AND DO SOMETHING!! Educate your neighbors, talk to family members about how this is not how the country is supposed to act, get politically involved. I haven't been politically involved other than sending $100 to a candidate here or there, but you can be damn sure I'm going to be after this. I'm a political moderate and only agree with ~50% of what the Democrats offer, but I agree with NOTHING that these stupid teabaggers are preaching. So for me to get this fired up, this angry, and this supportive for the Democrats takes some monumental stupidity on the GOP's part, and hopefully I'm not going to be the only one. If the GOP lose, again, in November, maybe they'll start putting a leash on some of this crap and start to be a viable alternative to the Democrats again. Maybe. Who knows. But I'm not willing to let them get back into power until this stuff STOPS.

/rant.
I never would've imagined 10 years ago that I'd be looking to campaign, donate time and money, whatever it takes to make sure that these NUTJOBS stay out of office. I've always been a moderate, but I can't for a minute fathom these idiots anywhere near power.

By sane, rational people? They already are.

By FauxNews, the GOP, and the rest of the lower-end of the intelligence bell-curve? Never.

Edit, don't forget, Timothy McVeigh is a hero to these @ssholes.
I meant in legal terms; ie when the FBI/CIA can investigate and charge them with crimes.

Unfortunately I don't see anything changing. I think the Tea Party movement (much like the Lord Gorlock movement) are only going to increase membership by spreading the crazy lies.

Do you know how many uneducated mouth breathers live around here? My neighborhood is full of people who actually think Obama is a Muslim (and find something really wrong with that).

that's the thing about the tea party, the low end of the bell curve is only so large. I suspect that most of those who identify with those ideals are already members.

While I hope that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if their membership continued to grow in massive numbers due to the crazy lies they keep propagating.

Is the tea party really a political party now? For real?

submitted this for Urban Dictionary

teahadist
A combination of Teabagger and Jihadist, a Teahadist is a domestic terrorist masquerading as a "patriot" in the US. The Teabagger feels that the only way to uphold truth, justice and the Constitution is to violently attack and threaten those who happen to disagree with said Teabagger's views. Phrases such as "defend the Constitution", and "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants" are often heard from Teahadists, although how much they actually understand what those mean is in debate.

It's only a matter of time before one of those Teahadists drives a truck bomb into a federal building, just like Timothy McVeigh.
