I knnow we have a lot of s here that type all day. Who has problems or has had problems with wrists... how bad did it get... what were symptoms/diagnosis, and how did you make it better.
Check your elbow. And you know you SHOULD worry about it.robdamanii said:I've got pain in both hands, little and ring fingers. Probably some kind of ulnar nerve thing, but I'm not going to worry about it.
There is a multitude of problems that can occur at the wrist. Anything from fractures, dislocations, or nerve entrapments any where along the brachial plexus. To name them all would be something WAY, WAY too long to fit into a thread.golgiaparatus said:I knnow we have a lot of s here that type all day. Drink more beer.Golgi or rob- any advice or solutions you've come accross?
Back of your wrist or palm side of your wrist?I get numbness in my fingers & wrist sometimes. It feels stiff too. I have never gone to the doctor for it. I just suffer like an Apache.
I also have a cyst that comes & goes on my mouse wrist.
when i was in undergrad doing lots of programming and such i had symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. i switched to a dvorak keyboard layout for a few months, took less programming-heavy courses, laid off on practicing piano at length, and the symptoms resolved. i don't use dvorak any more -- too inconvenient given that i'm typing at keyboards other than my own for most of the working day.I knnow we have a lot of s here that type all day. yeah, but when i am in the computer lab (undergrad) or at the hospital i often can't switch the layout due to lack of admin rights or just need to use the computer for a few minutes. more of a pain than it's worth, especially since my wrists don't hurt now in any case.i thought you could reprogram any keyboard for dvorak
The cyst?Back of your wrist or palm side of your wrist?
Shows itself when you flex your wrist? (You know, when you give that Haaaayyy flip of the wrist?)The cyst?
