I say what's the point if it is all good , just replace the cables and give it a service , save your self the money.

$320 for upgrades/parts NEEDED to get it on the trails or $320 for parts you just WANT to have on the bike? If it just needs a basic tune and cables, I'd go that route and ride it to see if you really need to upgrade. If you see fit to upgrade, then sell the bike and put that money towards the new bike. If not then you have a rideable bike.

Yea that's what I will do. I will tune it up and later buy a updated Giant. I saw the Revel for about the same price as the Warp DS2 back when I bought it new. I am thinking on updating the V brakes and shifters anyone recommend a specific bargain brand or price.

The Spesh has 29 inch wheels. no rear suspension and a crappy fork.
I own a Warp it lasted for many years of hard abuse. Had a super t up front.
Find a second hand fork and put new cables on the warp. Maybe a mech disk brake up front.
For a bargain bike the Warp rides like champ. Works best with a five inch travel fork up front.
